The Hampton Road’s first Zero Waste + Refill Shop
Less Than is excited to announce the opening of our new brick and mortar shop located in the Ghent community of Norfolk! Despite some setbacks and surprises due to COVID-19, we are proud to have hosted a soft-launch this past month.
Owner Chris Simmonds knows that being resourceful and sustainable go hand-in-hand. Some of his early experiences shaped his philosophy of seeing the value in what we already have and his outlook is clear as you browse the shop. None of the products contain plastic packaging and all material can either be reused, recycled or composted. A refill station also exists for customers to fill empty bottles with lotions and soaps as a way to encourage the reusing of bottles that would otherwise go to waste.
Now more than ever, people across the nation are more cognizant of how important it is to care for ourselves and one another, and are becoming more purposeful every time they buy something new. Less Than was founded with the belief that our community should have easier access to resources that are good for our bodies and good for the planet and are proud of the products we’ve curated that allows us to meet these goals.
Our physical and online stores are now both open. We encourage our community members to visit our store in-person or online, or even order products for curb-side pick-up or delivery. Most importantly, help spread the word so that your friends, family and community can be aware of this resource. Now is the time to support your health, the health of those you care about, and the planet so come on by!
